Yemayá

She is Yemayá. Mother of oceans. Guardian of waves. Protector of women, sailors, children and souls searching for home. This design is inspired by the sacred power of Yemayá, Goddess of the Sea, where ocean mythology meets ancestral memory.

The ship tells a story - the painful and resilient journey of the African slaves crossing the Atlantic toward Cuba, carrying pain, culture, spirituality and survival. Seven turtles and seven birds flow through the artwork, honouring Yemayá’s sacred number 7.

The turtles symbolise protection, endurance, ancient wisdom and navigation across vast waters. The birds represent spirit, freedom, hope and the soul’s eternal movement between sky and sea. “Yemayá” is more than swimwear. It is heritage worn against the skin.
